Ruth Ronan
Music has been a part of my life since I can remember. I started piano lessons when I was five and have both a bachelors and masters degree in music. I first saw and played handbells in the early 1960s and was delighted with their sound.
Faith Lutheran purchased a two octave set of bells in 1983 and I played in that first choir. The next year I became the director. We gradually added to the set of bells until we now have five octaves of bells and three octaves of hand chimes.
In addition to music activities I am in the Del Norte Rotary club, weave and sew (having created a number of altar cloths and stoles for the church), and usher at Popejoy Concert hall.
