Diane Wilder

My name is Diane Wilder, and I am a front office secretary. I am usually the first person to greet you as you enter the church office on weekdays. I would like to welcome you to Faith by saying "Hello" and ask what I can do to help you. I am a lifelong Lutheran. I have always enjoyed attending, and being involved with the church. I taught Sunday school as a teenager and was active in church preschool after my children, Derek and Jennifer were born. I moved to Albuquerque in 1977 with my husband, Jim.
Responding to a generic neighborhood mailing, my family and I visited Faith for Christmas Eve services in 1994. Although the service was crowded, we immediately felt welcomed. The sanctuary was and is a beautiful place.
We joined Faith in July 1995 and have felt good about our decision ever since. Going through the Welcome to Faith program, I decided to become involved immediately by becoming an Ambassador. I am still an active Ambassador. My volunteer activities have always made me feel good, appreciated, and needed. This has been both emotionally and spiritually fulfilling.
Answering an announcement in the Bulletin Insert, I started volunteering in the front office on Monday mornings. When a part-time secretarial position became available, I applied and was offered the job, my prayers were answered.
I now work full-time in the front office. My position at Faith is very rewarding. It is truly the best job I have ever had. I like the caring atmosphere, and the interaction with members, visitors, and staff.
Thank you, Faith. I am truly blessed.
Diane
