Upcoming Events for 2010
Save these dates on your calendar! “Jesus Talks to Women” is the topic of the 2010 retreat. Join us for a weekend of joy and praise, learning and laughter. We will dig deep into scripture and examine the New Testament passages describing Christ’s conversations with women. Beginning Friday evening and continuing through worship on Sunday morning, Carol Clark will take us on a trip back to the time of Jesus, as we hear his words for women. Each session will be accompanied by slides. What a great opportunity to better know your sisters of Faith!
in a fundraising event supporting the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). The Wounded Warrior
Project provides support to severely wounded soldiers, in the form of backpacks with clothing and personal items,
post-injury training, caregiver support, legislation for increased funding, and liaison with Veterans Affairs.
This year on November 13 and 14, Ooh La La Christmas is sponsoring a showcase of fabulously decorated homes in
the Albuquerque area.
Tickets to see these spectacular Christmas decorations are $20.
The Women’s Ministry Team will be selling tickets to the Christmas Home Tour in the Fellowship Hall between services beginning in October. Representatives from Ooh La La Christmas and the Women’s Ministry Team will be available to answer questions on both the home tour and the Wounded Warrior Project.
If you would like to support the Wounded Warrior Project, but cannot attend the Christmas Home Tour, you can go to www.oohlalachristmas.org for other ways to contribute.
