Prayer Ministry

The prayer ministry enables people to pray for, and with one another, thereby bringing honor to the Lord by channeling his blessings into the lives of people. As they sense the Spirit calling them, all members and friends of Faith are encouraged to participate in this important prayer ministry.

Members Prayed for at Worship Services: Every Sunday a group of members are prayed for during the services. Everyone is encouraged to join with the pastors in praying for these people throughout the week. During the course of the year, every member is prayed for in this way.

Praying for the Pastors: Each Sunday morning at 7:30 AM people are invited to meet in the conference room to pray for and with the pastors as well as for the worship services.

Praying for the Pastors - Personal Intercessors: A group of personal intercessors commit themselves to pray privately each day for a pastor. They keep in mind the ministry needs and support for the pastor and family.

Pray Intercessors - Special Events: These are individuals who commit themselves to pray especially for designated events occurring in the life of the church. Such events include retreats, elections, stewardship efforts, congregational meetings, educational programs, youth activities, etc.

Telephone Prayer Chain: The people on the prayer chain agree to respond to prayer requests and then notify the next person on the chain.

Holy Communion After Worship Services: On Sundays, other than the first Sunday of the month, Holy Communion is provided after each service of worship. The Sacrament is shared in the conference room on the left side as you exit the Sanctuary.

Special Prayer Requests: Worshippers at church are invited to make known their prayer concerns and needs on the attendance forms and at the information table. These requests are passed on and responded to.

Information and Participation: For more information or to volunteer call Faith Lutheran Church at 296-0762.
