Habitat for Humanity
People of Faith support Habitat with their dollars and by "getting their hands dirty" in the actual building process.

Faith Lutheran Church joined with other Lutheran congregations in Albuquerque to build a Habitat for Humanity home through the "Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity" program sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Home ownership remains the embodiment of the American dream for most people, and this is why "Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity" is eager to partner with more low-income families to achieve this goal.
Thrivent Builds provides the majority of the funds needed for the house and partnering congregations provide the remaining funding and the volunteers. On April 22 of 2007, Faith Lutheran provided 20 volunteers and lunch for 50 people for the home being built.
The dedication ceremony for this home will be Saturday, June 24, at 10:00 AM. The home location is 1501 Gallegos SW. All those interested are welcome to attend and share in the joy of the new homeowners, the Munoz family.
