EEMN (East European Missions Network)

The mission of EEMN is to connect believers together for rebuilding and equipping the Body of Christ in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Ministry Expansion

East European Missions Network
The fall of communism and the sweeping changes that followed happened over a decade ago. The initial excitement for most people has worn off, other news dominates our headlines. Nevertheless, the long term rebuilding of the culture necessary after over seventy years of communist oppression will take years. Exciting things are happening! God is at work! The fact is that EEMN is uniquely positioned to have a significant impact on this rebuilding.

We are currently working in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia and the Ukraine. Relationships of trust and fruitfulness with national leaders in these countries that stand the test of time take just that: time, prayer, and steadfastness. Pastor Don Richman’s work, going back to 1986, has built bridges that God is now using as we are in a season of rapid growth.

New doors of opportunity continue to open as we press forward:

We are placing more teachers than ever overseas in Bible schools and seminaries, sowing seed for long term impact that will span generations as God’s Word is taught and believed.

We have added Missions Mobilization resources to the ministry of EEMN, offering educational tools, inspiration and support for congregations and pastors seeking to raise the world mission vision of their congregation

Among other things, there are exciting new opportunities for us in Ukraine and Turkey, occupying opposite shores of the Black Sea, as well as clear leading to press eastward into Siberia and the Russian Far East. Our vision is drawn increasingly toward the 10/40 window, where the majority of the unreached peoples are found.

We anticipate sending career missionaries Tomasz and Miriam Chmiel to Lviv, Ukraine for youth ministry in early 2007.
More opportunities to mobilize churches for world missions come regularly. We want to expand our efforts to connect people and congregations to our current Strategic Ministry Partners, which requires gifted staff and tools to do this job well.

What is EEMN?

• Networking Ministry—In its simplest form, connecting Christians in the USA with needs in Eastern Europe via Strategic Ministry Partnerships.
• Involving Ministry—Involving God’s people with missions (short or long term) through participation in our Language Camps or other ministry and teaching opportunities.
• Discipleship Ministry—EEMN has helped start three Bible Schools and two Christian colleges in Eastern Europe. EEMN International Student Ministries connects qualifying students with appropriate Bible Schools and Seminaries.
• Mobilizing Ministry—Mobilizing pastors and leaders in the USA and Eastern Europe by providing training in the basic principles of personalizing the Great Commission such as the Harvest Connection seminar.
• Sending Agency—Place and organize support for short term and career missionaries. EEMN particularly wants to challenge, equip and send missionaries to minister to youth and teach basic family life principles regarding marriage and sexuality.
