How good is your recipe for chili? Each March, Faith members and friends gather for some friendly competition. Through a blind taste-testing, dozens of submissions compete for the title of “Best Chili” in the categories of mild, medium, hot, and vegetarian. A brisket dinner and live music are also provided. Join us for fun and food at this annual event. The Chili Cook-Off is always scheduled on the 1st Saturday in March, at 6pm.
Every November in observance of Veterans’ Day, we honor the men and women who have served, and currently serve, in the United States military. With live music, dancing, photos and tributes we acknowledge their service and sacrifice at our USO Night event, scheduled each year on the 1st Saturday in November at 6 pm. We also honor Veterans during the opening of our worship services that same weekend, with a Scout Troop escort and a word of thanks and grateful acknowledgement. At Faith we appreciate our Veterans’ service to God and country!
Christian travel opportunities are regularly offered for Faith Lutheran Church members and friends. In 2012, we toured the Holy Land. We walked in the footsteps of Paul through Greece and Turkey in May of 2014. Two tours of Rome, in May and September of 2015, provided insights into history and faith. Our most recent trip was a Reformation tour of Germany in May of 2016.
