Christian Stewardship

The people of Faith Lutheran form a community of believers who are in partnership with God in fulfilling our mission. Every member contributes toward this common goal. Here are some ways members can and do participate in Faith’s ministry:
Prayer:
Prayer brings each of us in close relationship to God. Through prayer, God gives us a clearer vision of His plan for us. Ministry is supported by prayers of individuals and by prayers offered in fellowship with other Christians. The church, its pastors, staff, council, members, and guests are all in need of your prayers. We ask you to actively pray for the life and ministry of Faith.
Time, Abilities, and Energy:
Some projects and ministries of the church require specialized skills in leadership, but many simply require willing hands and a heart for service. All ministries require the investment of time. As you explore the many ministries at Faith Lutheran Church, ask for God’s guidance in the selection of areas where your unique gifts can most effectively be used to his glory. As you give of yourself you will experience the richness of God’s blessings.
Encouragement:
Each member of the community of Faith has a separate role in the ministry we share together. As we each face the challenges of living and serving according to God’s calling, we need encouragement and words of hope and appreciation from one another. We should show enthusiasm for one another’s ministries and be willing to share in each other’s lives.
Financial:
Mature Christians respond to God’s grace and love with a financial investment in mission and ministry. The ability to contribute financially varies from member to member, but each is blessed with the opportunity to make contributions. Monetary investments fund the church’s ministry and touch lives near and far. We encourage everyone to grow in their giving with the goal of tithing. Tithing is the Biblical model of giving God the “first fruits” of our worldly wealth. A tithe is 10% of one’s wealth and income.
God gave His children the responsibility of being caretakers of His creation. We are not the owners, but the managers of all that God has given us. He has richly blessed us and invites us to be partners with Him in proclaiming the Gospel. We at Faith Lutheran Church accept God’s invitation and boldly go forth in mission!
